There are no mistakes. The events we bring upon ourselves,
no matter how unpleasant, are necessary in order to learn;whatever steps we take, they're necessary to reach the places we've chosen to go.
When some things go wrong, take a moment to be thankful for the many more things that are still going right. To find a sure and dependable way through your troubles, start by counting your blessings.
Focus on what you can do and you won't have to be held back by what you cannot do. Value and appreciate what you do have, and you will no longer be limited by what you don't have.
True abundance begins with gratitude. The more thankful you are for the good things you have, the more they will grow to have even greater value.
With gratitude in your heart, your eyes can see more clearly. You'll discover ways for moving forward that you otherwise would never have noticed.
Before you blame, before you worry, before you resent or despair, take a moment to be truly thankful. See the world from the perspective of gratitude and see what a powerful positive difference it can make.

Loving-kindness
The practice of metta, or loving-kindness, fosters unconditional friendliness toward the self and others. In this abbreviated version of the traditional form, send metta to yourself by inwardly repeating the following verses:
"May I be happy. May I be healthy. May I be secure. May I live in peace." Then silently direct those wishes to everyone you meet today, replacing the "I" with "you".

BREAKING THE ARROWS OF HURT
Sometimes out of tiredness or hurt, we react to others in anger, firing arrows into their heart. Regretting our reaction we then fire arrows at ourselves. When this occurs close your eyes and imagine plucking out the arrows you have fired and breaking them in half. Now visualize the healing light of forgiveness around the two wounded hearts.
