Deployment 8

Series: The Journey of a Deployment: Perspective of the one that stays awaiting (Bilingual)

HIM: “Mom, could you please do me a favor? Call her and tell her that I love her and I miss her very much.”

HER: It is very difficult to keep this relationship going on. There are times that he could not call me and I get depress. I feel lonely most of the time. The depression is causing me to sleep longer and I’m not even going out as I used to. I need to study for my post grad test and it’s taking me too long, because my mind is busy with my future.

HIM: I want to be happy, and she is part of that happiness I’m planning for the future. I want to have my three girls with her, lol. She is so beautiful, she is my woman. I can’t wait to be with her.

HER: I love him very much, I can’t wait for him to be back. I know I want to be with him for the rest of my life but this distance is killing me. I feel like my life is in pause.

HIM: Do you think she will like this …? This is what I’m planning to do to surprise her……it will be her wedding gift.

HER: I’ll email you what I have found for him, do you think he will like it.

HER: Well, communication sucks. It’s not his fault, it’s the internet connection, sometimes we can talk with no problems. But it happens that in the middle of something important he’ll get disconnected, and I hate it. The phone it’s another thing too. Its frustrating.

HIM: I haven’t been able to call her because too much work. They also question the numbers to call, and too much information to give. I wish I can talk to her more often, like we used to. Do you have three way connection, so I can talk to her?

Real love is not affected by distance if it’s combined with a very strong commitment, honesty, passion, loyalty and the desire to continue growing, not just as a couple but individually. No one is an island, here we are, friends, and family members to come to the rescue to do things better, specially for those that are trying, together, to do the right thing. We are supporting you guys.

Zero Guille

I experience that the people, like me, that go for these classes [bartending] have the same motivation; to have fun in life serving others.

A Baby Died

A baby died Thursday morning due to a fall from a fourth floor open window. We need to make sure we keep our children safe.

Windows provide a secondary means of escape from a burning home. Determine your family's emergency escape plan and practice it. Remember that children may have to rely on a window to escape in a fire. Help them learn to safely use a window under these circumstances.

Keep your windows closed and locked when children are around. When opening windows for ventilation, open windows that a child cannot reach, or in the case of a double-hung window, open the top sash only.

Set and enforce rules about keeping children's play away from windows or patio doors. Falling through the glass can be fatal or cause serious injury.

Keep furniture - or anything children can climb - away from windows. Children may use such objects as a climbing aid.

If you have young children in your home and are considering installing window guards or window fall prevention devices, be aware that the window guards you install must have a release mechanism so that they can be opened for escape in a fire emergency. Consult your local fire department or building code official to determine proper window guard placement.

The degree of injury sustained from a window fall can be affected by the surface on which the victim falls. Shrubs and soft edging like wood chips or grass beneath windows may lessen the impact if a fall does occur.

More Tips
Be aware that conventional window screens are not designed to prevent a child’s fall from a window.

Install specially designed window guards on upper windows to prevent children from falling out of windows.

Never leave young children unattended near open windows.

Show Your Unity In America.

There are less than four months until the election, an election that will decide the next President of the United States ... The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans.

To show our solidarity as Americans, let's all get together and show each other our support for the candidate of our choice. It's time that we all came together, Democrats and Republicans alike.

If you support the policies and character ofJohn McCain, please drive with your headlights on during the day.

If you support Obama, please drive with your headlights off at night.

Thank you for your participation in this patriotic endeavor!

Viva La Raza, Viva Mexico!!!
